Jo Shipley serves as a teacher at Island Village elementary working with upper elementary and middle school students. Teaching and working with children is a love Jo has had forever. Prior to working here, she worked at a Montessori charter school teaching upper elementary (4-6) in Colorado.

    Jo has AMI Montessori elementary II certification (6-12) from Loyola College where she also receiver her master's degree in education. Her undergraduate studies concentration was english literature and women studies. Jo enjoys teaching and visiting with her 21 grandchildren
