Our Programs

Island Village programs are uniquely our own. We have spend over a decade blending standards, expectations, and vision to create programs that are not like everyone else. Click on the following links to discover the heart of Island Village Montessori. Since we have changed the format of our Website, these pages are a work in progress. Keep checking back over the year as we update these pages.
Elementary Program

The elementary program combines a traditional Montessori experience with the support of computer technology as students move through the concrete-representational period of their lives.

Secondary Program

The secondary program extends the Montessori Way of individualized, guided instruction with a partnership-based educational model. Students strive for excellence in scholarship as well as the mastery of self-direction and accountability.

Early Childhood Program

Our traditional 3-6 learning environments assist young children in getting
the best start possible to their lives. Montessori wrote that from
birth to age 6 was one of the most important periods in a child’s life,
setting the stage for everything to come. That is why our program cannot be compared to day care. Rather, it is a home-like school setting where
young children thrive.

After School Program

The After School Program seeks to balance quality and variety with economy to support our students in having the most well-rounded educational experience possible in a school setting.

The Arts Program

Montessori’s urging to “educate the whole child” is behind our focus on the arts at IVMS. Opportunities for creativity and performance teach a child much that the regular curriculum cannot.  At IVMS, we seek the right balance for each of our students with a variety of offerings in the visual,  musical, and performing arts.
