Here is some important information about school hours and dismissal for each program and campus. Please make sure you are aware what time your child’s program ends. School and program hours are also published on our Website in the Contact Us section as well as in the Student and Family Handbook that can be downloaded from the front page of the IVMS Website (the link is found under the slide show).

SARASOTA CAMPUS DISMISSAL – 2:30 to 2:40 PM

All students are dismissed at the same time at the Sarasota campus, which is at 2:30 PM. Students may be picked up from enrichment until 3:30 PM.

VENICE CAMPUS - FIRST DISMISSAL is between 3:15 and 3:30 PM.

ALL ELEMENTARY AGE AND EARLY CHILDHOOD STUDENTS at the Venice campus are to be picked up during the elementary dismissal between 3:15 and 3:30 PM.

Students in LE 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 should be picked up from the main campus car line.

Students in LE 8, 9 ,10, and 23 should be picked up from Kilpatrick Rd. car lines.

Younger siblings in LE 8, 9, and 10 will be walked over to the main campus before the first dismissal begins.

VENICE CAMPUS – SECOND DISMISSAL is between 3:45 and 4:00 PM.

2ND DISMISSAL at the VENICE CAMPUS is for Upper School, Secondary Program, and Elementary Program siblings of older students only.

All ELEMENTARY AGE SIBLINGS OF UPPER SCHOOL AND SECONDARY STUDENTS at the Venice campus are to be picked up during the upper school and secondary program dismissal between 3:45 and 4:00 PM.

This means LE: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 19, 20, 21, 22 and elementary age siblings of older students.

Please do not get into the elementary carline in Venice if you have children in the upper school or secondary programs. This will only delay both dismissals.

FOR EVERYONE: If you park and pick up your children,

PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE THE EDUCATORS AT THIS TIME.

It is imperative that the educators focus on getting students to the bus and to their cars. If the educators cannot hear the walkie talkies, they cannot respond as needed to the folks outside trying to get everyone home on time.

It is critical that everyone stay focused on getting students home during dismissal. We depend on your help to refrain from wanting to engage in conversation at this time. We DO want to talk with you, but the end of the day must be reserved for getting students home safely!

Thanks for your understanding and support!!

Dr. Kym Elder, Executive Director
